Key Responsibilities

Cross-Team Coordination

  • Act as the single point of coordination between India, China, and US-based teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers, engineering teams, design partners, logistics partners, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Ensure all open items, product changes, vendor updates, files, feedback loops, and decisions are documented and moved forward.
  • Keep everyone aligned on what is pending, who owns it, and when it closes.
  • Remain unafraid of confrontation or hard conversations.

Project & Timeline Management

  • Maintain the company’s existing Gantts, trackers, and dashboards across product, manufacturing, logistics, launch, hiring, finance, and GTM.
  • Track key milestones, and launch readiness.
  • Pre-empt bottlenecks, manage dependencies, and flag risks before they affect timelines.
  • Make sure the operating system reflects reality every day, not a stale plan from two weeks ago.

AI-Native Operations

  • Use AI tools aggressively across transcription, meeting notes, documentation, tracker updates, email drafting, SOPs, research, and internal knowledge management.
  • You do not need to manually summarize every call. AI can do the first pass.
  • Your job is to check the output, extract decisions, assign owners, identify gaps, and make sure the next step actually happens.

Manufacturing, Logistics & Deliverables Tracking

  • Track component readiness, supplier commitments, production timelines, sample dispatches, payments, courier movement, and shipment ETAs.
  • Oversee movement of samples and prototypes between Shenzhen, Seattle, Chennai, and other locations.
  • Coordinate courier documentation, customs paperwork, sample declarations, and import/export follow-ups.
  • Maintain transparent dashboards for production, shipping, inventory, and launch readiness.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain clean, version-controlled folders for product files, supplier files, BOM updates, test reports, packaging files, compliance documents, and operating docs.
  • Prepare concise weekly progress summaries for founders, internal teams, investors, and board updates.
  • Track open risks, blocked decisions, pending documents, and unresolved vendor questions.
  • Help convert messy founder/company context into clear action items and closure.

Team & Operating System Building

  • Set up and improve workflows across Notion, Google Sheets, Drive, Slack/WhatsApp, email, calendars, and task systems.
  • Build repeatable templates for weekly updates, supplier trackers, risk logs, launch trackers, decision logs, and operating reviews.
  • As JB scales, this role can grow into leading a 3–5 member Founder’s Office / Ops team across project management, supplier coordination, launch ops, and internal execution.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience in project management, operations, founder’s office, manufacturing operations, consumer hardware, D2C, logistics, or cross-functional execution.
  • Strong Google Sheets and Notion skills.
  • Excellent written English. Clear verbal communication is a bonus.
  • High ownership, strong follow-through, and serious attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, fast-changing priorities, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to convert messy discussions into structured trackers, decisions, owners, and next steps.
  • Comfortable with AI tools, or willing to get very good at them quickly.

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience working with Asian OEMs, component suppliers, factories, or logistics partners.
  • Exposure to consumer electronics, appliances, hardware startups, manufacturing, or D2C operations.
  • Understanding of product development cycles: prototype → testing → pilot → mass production.
  • Experience with import/export logistics, customs documentation, or prototype shipments.
  • Mandarin ability is a strong plus, but not required.

Compensation Range

  • ₹12–20 LPA CTC + meaningful equity upside
  • ₹12–14 LPA: strong early-career operator from a D2C, logistics, startup, manufacturing, or project management background.
  • ₹14–17 LPA: strong cross-functional coordinator with vendor, supplier, launch, or operations experience.
  • ₹17–20 LPA: hardware/product launch experience, international supplier exposure, strong operating discipline, and excellent ownership.
